My name is Xendara, and I am an avid consumer of words.
Language is an amazingly versatile tool. Verbal, written, and manual, the wide diversity of ways to communicate is awe-inspiring! Words can be used to say hello, to express a problem or appreciation, or to create whole new worlds and adventures to share! It is a solemn duty to use this tool with care. Doing so allows us to actively learn, passionately express, and clearly communicate. This is why I take my job so seriously. It's not just about polishing a story; it's about helping an author's vision reach audiences and for dreams to be shared.
While I have a shiny certificate in copyediting and a bunch of editing courses under my belt, I also have a degree in wildlife biology. Additionally, I am heavily involved in wildlife rehabilitation and education both individually and with a local nonprofit. Sharing the love of animals and call for conservation with the public is just as much a passion as word-love!
In my free time, I love kayaking, hiking, more reading, hanging with my mini zoo, drawing, writing, and I even manage the occasional video game playthrough. If, while communicating, you happen to show me your pets, I will happily reciprocate. Please show me your pets.
